About Us
Bespoke Tuition was founded by Ian and Catherine Townsend. They have two adult children who are currently attending university. Their son is doing his masters at Lancaster University and their daughter is an undergraduate at Durham University.
Ian and Catherine have had first hand experience of seeing their children progress through the Manx education system. They were delighted that their children had good teachers at school but this was occasionally supplemented by private tutoring in different subjects. They are therefore aware how difficult it can be to obtain a good tutor when needed.
Bespoke Tuition aims to find a suitable tutor when students need academic help and with the least amount of stress for the parents!
Catherine has also taught mathematics privately up to A level standard, having previously obtained a first class degree in Mathematics and Economics at Liverpool University.
